The new girls under 8/9’s have taken centre stage at two separate tournaments managed by Sophie and Mark Dugan.

Having already played in a few tournaments and doing really well, the girls have completely upped their game and have started producing some fantastic football, really putting into practice everything that has been coached and instructed and are starting to look really strong.

The first win came at the Wargrave Tournament in Reading, the girls came away unbeaten playing six, winning five and only drawing one scoring an impressive 14 goals and only conceding 1.

The team work and bond that the girls showed was truly great to see with all really enjoying the day.

The second win came at the Dorset FA Tournament at the County Ground in Hamworthy, winning all but one of the group games with one loss, meaning the girls made it to the final.

The final saw the girls come up against the team that they lost to in the group stages and put in an impressive performance all round and came away winners.

Proving that the girls are not goal shy they scored an impressive 27 goals in total throughout the day and only conceded 3 showing that their all round game attacking and defensive has improved so much.

Moving forward the girls have a few more tournament dates booked in and would love as much support along with the parents as possible, the next is at the AFC Reading tournament on the 16th July so come along to watch some great football.
